7 Sites Like Bovada, 3 Tested With Real Money.

Most people land here for one of two reasons. Either Bovada stopped working in your state, or it still works and you want something better. Those need different answers, so this page is split along that line.

Is Bovada actually blocked in your state?

Bovada has been withdrawing from states through 2026 as regulators send cease-and-desist notices. Its Terms of Service now list 20 restricted US jurisdictions:

The most recent additions came in quick succession: Kansas after an 8 July 2026 cease-and-desist from the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission, Louisiana after a 6 August notice to parent company Harp Media B.V., and Pennsylvania in late August.

Bovada sister sites

Three casino brands run on the same cashier set-up as Bovada: Ignition, Cafe Casino and Slots.lv. Cafe Casino and Slots.lv name the same company in their footers, Arbol Media B.V., under Curaçao licence OGL/2024/670/0711. Ignition lists Bamboo Media under an Anjouan licence, No. 11548.

All three restrict the same five states: Delaware, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey and New York (Slots.lv also excludes Quebec and Nova Scotia). So there are 15 states where Bovada is blocked and its sister sites are not: Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Washington DC, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Vermont and West Virginia.

What none of them has is a sportsbook. Ignition is casino and poker; Cafe Casino and Slots.lv are casino only. If Bovada was where you bet sports, a sister site keeps your casino play (and, at Ignition, your poker), but for sports you need one of the seven books further down.

Figures are each operator's own: Bovada, Ignition and Cafe Casino checked in September 2026, Slots.lv on 15 October 2026. We haven't withdrawn from any of the three sister sites ourselves.

• Ignition is the one for poker: a weekly $2,500 freeroll (Thursdays, 9:05 pm ET, from the Chrome level), and Bitcoin Lightning payouts from $10, up to 15 minutes after approval. Card deposits cost 15.9% or more, as at Bovada after your first.
• Cafe Casino is the cheapest to fund by card, at 5.90%, but every withdrawal is held for at least 72 hours before it's processed, and its bonus has to be cleared in seven days.
• Slots.lv offers 200% up to $3,000 on a crypto deposit at 35x on deposit plus bonus, and caps what its spins can pay out at $50. It states its payout timing three different ways on its own pages: about 24 hours to approve crypto on its payout-times page, crypto payouts processed once every three days on its limits page, and from 72 hours on its About page. If your state is on Bovada's list, no VPN workaround is worth recommending: it voids your account terms and you will lose the balance rather than the argument. The practical move is a book that still accepts you.

Which books still take your state

What each operator's own terms say about US states, checked at the operator:

Two things to read into that. Bookmaker.eu is the only alternative that names states, so if you're in Kentucky, New Jersey, Ohio or Tennessee, cross it off. What are you trying to fix?

If Bovada still works for you, the useful question isn't "what's a good alternative", it's what specifically annoys you. Different books fail in different directions.

"My account got limited"

Bovada limits winning bettors, and so does every book on this list. The difference is how fast and how hard. Books that lean recreational (Bovada, MyBookie, BetUS) limit earlier. Books that lean sharp take bigger action for longer.

"The lines are worse than my friend's book"

Bovada prices for a recreational crowd, which shows up as wider juice on main markets. Over a season, paying −115 instead of −110 costs roughly $990 across 500 bets of $100 if you win half of them: each winner pays $86.96 instead of $90.91.

Go to: whichever book posts the better number on the game you want. We haven't yet checked which of these books post reduced-juice (−105) lines, so we won't name one from memory.

Do this instead of switching: open two accounts and line-shop. The single biggest edge available to a recreational bettor is not a bonus, it's taking the better of two prices. Two accounts beat one alternative.

"Payouts are slow"

Two stages, and most write-ups collapse them into one. Bovada runs an internal review the operator states takes 24–48 hours on every withdrawal request; only then does the payment method's own clock start. After approval, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum and USDT land inside about an hour, while Bitcoin can take a further 24. So the fastest route out is not Bitcoin; it's LTC or BCH. Cheques run 10–15 business days after approval. Minimums differ too: LTC and BCH from $10, ETH and USDT from $50, Bitcoin from $75, cheque from $250, wire from $1,500.

If your payouts feel slow, check which of those two stages is the problem before switching books.

What we measured. One full round trip per book in September 2026: deposit about $100, play it through once with no bonus, withdraw the rest:

In all four, the review was 91–99% of the wait. One withdrawal per book, so this is what happened once, not a promise it will go the same way for you.

"I want to bet something Bovada doesn't offer"

Bovada's market depth is mid-range: good on major US sports, thin on niche props, tier-two soccer, international basketball and esports.

"I want poker and casino in the same account"

This is where a lot of "sites like Bovada" searches actually come from: the SERP for this keyword is casino-heavy. Bovada's poker room is one of the few with real US traffic.

We haven't checked poker traffic at the sportsbook alternatives, so we won't recommend one on it. If poker matters most, Bovada's sister brand Ignition runs a poker room; it's covered in casinos like Bovada.

The seven alternatives

Three of the seven we funded and withdrew from in September 2026: BetOnline, BetUS and MyBookie. Four we've checked on the operators' own pages only, most recently in October 2026: SportsBetting.ag, Bookmaker.eu, Everygame and BUSR.

BetOnline

Tested: we deposited and withdrew in September 2026.

Best for: getting paid fast, and betting bigger than Bovada lets you.

Our withdrawal: $84 to Bitcoin in 4 h 52 m, the fastest of the four books we've tested, against 24 h 05 m at Bovada. Our first Visa Debit deposit was declined with no reason given; the same card went through fifteen minutes later.

Where it beats Bovada: speed, limits and states. Its published limits run to $50,000 on an NFL spread. Its own restricted list names no US state, against Bovada's 20. Bitcoin payouts are free, from $20, with no maximum.

Where Bovada is better: the welcome offer. FREE250 is a free bet worth about $23–27 per $100 deposited; Bovada's crypto offer is worth about $33.

BetUS

Tested: we deposited and withdrew in September 2026.

Best for: a big bonus, if you'll genuinely turn it over.

Our withdrawal: $90 to Bitcoin in 28 h 33 m. Most of that was BetUS's stated 72-hour hold after a credit-card deposit, on top of a card verification. Deposit by crypto and that hold doesn't apply.

Where it beats Bovada: the bonus. NEW200 (200% across your first three deposits up to $1,000, 10x on the bonus alone) is worth about $100 per $100 deposited, three times Bovada's best offer.

Where Bovada is better: payout speed and card deposits. BetUS asks for copies of the cards you've used before it pays out.

Cashier: its withdrawal-limits page gives crypto one line, not split by coin: about $50 minimum, "$5,000+ (varies by bonus)" maximum, 24–48 hours after approval, no banking fees.

MyBookie

Tested: we deposited and withdrew in September 2026.

Best for: a first bet that's refunded if it loses.

Our withdrawal: $142.50 to Litecoin in 29 h 22 m, from an already verified account with no documents asked. The slowest of our four, but inside MyBookie's own 48-hour figure.

Where it beats Bovada: the headline offer. A 100% bet-back up to $500 in free play, plus $25 in casino credit, is worth roughly $114–199 on a $500 first bet, and only if that bet loses.

Where Bovada is better: speed, and everything after the welcome offer. MyBookie's reload bonuses come out negative at every published tier, and withdrawals are capped at one per method per week, $5,000 per method and $10,000 in total.

SportsBetting.ag

Terms checked at the operator in October 2026. We haven't tested it yet.

Best for: BetOnline's welcome offer, a second time. It runs on the same platform group, and its WELCOME code has the same shape: 50% of your first deposit as free bet credit up to $250, $10 minimum, about $23 per $100. Its terms page states no odds cap on the free bet, where BetOnline caps moneylines at +125.

Cashier: every coin from $20, "Within 24 hours" (the operator doesn't separate review from transfer). Bitcoin is free with no maximum. Litecoin costs $1.50 to $7.50 and tops out at $50,000; Ethereum costs $1.50 to $22.50, USDT $1.50 to $25. No more than 10 withdrawals in 7 days, at least 24 hours apart.

Where Bovada is better: a payout we've actually seen. SportsBetting.ag's speed is the operator's word, not a measurement.

Bookmaker.eu

Terms checked at the operator in October 2026. We haven't tested it yet.

Best for: the best bonus ratio of any book we haven't tested, if you pick the right offer. Its 100% up to $400 card offer pays in free play at 1x on deposit plus bonus: about +$36 per $100. The 25% offer in the same cashier works out to about −$36, and the crypto cash offer at 30x to about −$186.

Cashier: Bitcoin from $50, up to $25,000 a day Monday to Friday and $3,000 at weekends, $100,000 a month, one withdrawal a day and seven a week. Review takes about 24 hours, occasionally up to three business days; BookMaker charges no fee. USDT payouts are capped at what you deposited in USDT and USDC over the last five months.

Where Bovada is better: if you live in Kentucky, New Jersey, Ohio or Tennessee, Bookmaker.eu names your state as restricted. And we haven't put a withdrawal through it.

Everygame

Terms checked at the operator in October 2026. We haven't tested it yet.

Best for: track record. Formerly Intertops, operating since 1996.

The catch for US players: it doesn't bar the United States, but it may refuse new US accounts "at our sole discretion".

Bonus: WELCOME500 is a cash bonus at 12x on deposit plus bonus, $50 minimum, about −$9 per $100. Bets at odds shorter than −200 don't count.

Cashier: Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin, $100 to $2,500 a week, no fees, one payout per person every 7 days. Processing starts after 48 hours (2 business days), and the payouts team works Monday to Friday. Bitcoin payouts only if you deposited with Bitcoin.

Where Bovada is better: the ceiling. $2,500 a week at Everygame against $180,000 by Litecoin at Bovada.

BUSR

Terms checked at the operator in October 2026. We haven't tested it yet.

Best for: horse racing, which is what it's built around.

Skip the welcome offer. 300SB1 to 300SB3 give 100% up to $1,000 on each of your first three deposits, paid as free play at 20x on deposit plus bonus per code. That's about −$136 for every $100 you deposit.

Cashier: withdrawals from $25 to $5,000 per transaction. Bitcoin is the one it recommends, as "completely free", paid within one business day once your account is verified; how long verification takes isn't stated.

Where Bovada is better: everything except racing. Bovada runs a racebook too, so BUSR only makes sense if racing is most of what you bet.

Welcome offers, checked September 2026

Checked in September 2026. Offshore promotions change without notice and vary by deposit method, so check the operator's page before you deposit.

Two lines are worth reading twice. BetOnline's carries no rollover (confirmed in the operator's own help centre), which makes it the only offer here that can't expire unconverted; it pays in free bets, though, so a maxed $250 credit is worth roughly $114–132 rather than $250. BetUS's NEW200 runs its 10x on the bonus alone, not deposit plus bonus, which is worth about $238 more per $500 deposited than the alternative reading and makes it the highest rollover-adjusted value on the list, if you'll actually turn over $10,000.

And one line looks better than it is: JOIN225 has the bigger headline, but its sports piece clears at 14x and its casino piece at 30x inside seven days. Where Bovada is still the better choice

No competing page in this SERP says this, which is exactly why it's worth saying.

Stay with Bovada if:

• You play poker. Bovada's poker room has genuine US liquidity. Most alternatives do not, and a poker room with no players is not a feature.
• You want to know what the cashier will ask for. On our withdrawal Bovada requested documents within 45 minutes and paid the next morning: 24 h 05 m in total. Not the fastest we measured, but the document request came early rather than a day in.
• You bet small and infrequently. The line quality gap that matters to a serious bettor is invisible at $20 a week. Switching costs you more in friction than it saves you in price.
• You value the brand's track record. Bovada has been paying US customers since 2011, through Black Friday's aftermath and every regulatory wave since. Several alternatives are newer and less proven.

Leave Bovada if: you're in a restricted state, you've been limited to unusably small stakes, you need markets it doesn't price, or you're placing enough volume that a half-point of juice is real money.

Moving your bankroll without losing it

1. Withdraw from Bovada first, in full, and confirm it lands before you deposit anywhere new. Never run a transfer in parallel.
2. Clear any outstanding bonus. Withdrawing mid-rollover forfeits the bonus at nearly every book, so check the terms on your specific offer.
3. Deposit the minimum at the new book and withdraw it once, before you fund properly. A $20 round trip tells you more about a book than any review, this one included.
4. Read the bonus terms before you accept, not after. Screenshot them. Offshore books amend terms without notice and you have no regulator to appeal to.
5. Keep both accounts open. Two books means line shopping, which is worth more than any welcome bonus you'll ever clear.

Frequently asked questions

What sites are like Bovada? The closest equivalents for US players are BetOnline, MyBookie, BetUS, SportsBetting.ag, Bookmaker.eu and Everygame. All take crypto, and none of them bars the United States as a country, though Everygame may refuse new US accounts at its discretion. Bookmaker.eu is the closest match for higher limits; MyBookie and BetUS are closest in feel for recreational bettors.

Why is Bovada not working in my state? Bovada's own Terms of Service list 20 restricted US jurisdictions, expanded through 2026 after state regulators issued cease-and-desist notices, most recently Kansas, Louisiana and Pennsylvania in mid-2026. If you can't reach the site or can't register, your state is likely on the restricted list.

Is there a Bovada alternative that accepts New York? New York is restricted by Bovada and by all three of its sister sites: Ignition, Cafe Casino and Slots.lv. Among the sportsbook alternatives, BetOnline, BetUS, MyBookie and BUSR name no US state on their own lists, Bookmaker.eu restricts four states but not New York, and Everygame may refuse new US accounts at its discretion. Not being restricted by a book is not the same as being legal where you live.

What are Bovada's sister sites? Ignition, Cafe Casino and Slots.lv. They share Bovada's cashier set-up and restrict only five states (Delaware, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey and New York) against Bovada's 20, but none of them has a sportsbook.

Can I use a VPN to get around Bovada's restrictions? It violates the terms you agreed to, and the consequence is account closure with the balance forfeited. Offshore books enforce this at withdrawal, when your money is already inside. There is no regulator to appeal to.

Which Bovada alternative pays out fastest? Of the three alternatives we've tested, BetOnline: 4 h 52 m from request to wallet on our September 2026 withdrawal, against 28 h 33 m at BetUS and 29 h 22 m at MyBookie. Our Bovada withdrawal, for comparison, took 24 h 05 m. One withdrawal each, so treat it as what happened, not a guarantee. Are Bovada alternatives safe? None of them are regulated by a US authority, so "safe" means operating history and payment record rather than legal protection.
